Port takes a look at the newly opened kitchen craft store at Coal Drops Yard

What started five years ago as a hand-forged knife business has quickly bloomed into a full kitchen offering. Elevating small and emerging craftspeople, whether it’s ceramics, chilli sauces, or chef’s trousers for women, the newly opened Kitchen Provisions store is chock a block with “kitchenalia”. Owned and managed by Helen Symonds, Tom Saunders and Jake Knibbs, the team regularly travels to Japan throughout the year to meet with artisans and develop their understanding in metal composition, knife capability and maintenance of each of the models on offer. 

Recently reinvented by the acclaimed Heatherwick Studio, we have no doubt it will be right at home in Coal Drops Yard.
