SUBMISSIONS

PORT welcomes unsolicited submissions – Please see further information below. If you are wondering whether your style fits or need to familiarise yourself with the magazine, might we suggest you take out a subscription.

NON-FICTION

PORT loves to commission non-fiction; that’s why we have so many features in each issue. Essays, ideas, musings and, in particular, long-form narrative are desired. We have the space and are keen to publish serious reportage.

Please send short pitches to: thomas@port-magazine.com

FICTION & POETRY

Our first story was written by Will Self. Since then, we’ve published poetry and fiction by Michael Symmons Roberts, Lori Ostlund, Arthur Bradford and Glyn Maxwell amongst others. Think you can do better? We are more than happy to consider stories from writers anywhere in the world, from three words to that great undefined space between a novella and a proper bildungsroman. We like to publish stories. We also like poetry. All we ask is that they be in English and are previously unpublished. (Translations are encouraged, if they haven’t been published in English elsewhere.)

Please send stories to: thomas@port-magazine.com

PHOTOGRAPHY

From styled fashion shoots and portraiture to reportage/documentary and architecture, high quality photography is what PORT aims to bring to every issue. We are particularly interested in self-initiated photography projects, and are happy to view work, whether it is still in development or completed.

FASHION

We are constantly on the lookout for new talent. We don’t do drama, we just like working with nice people who are as passionate about fashion as we are. If you are a stylist specialising in either mens or womenswear, set design or still life, with a strong interest in men’s clothing and accessories, we want to hear from you.
