“As a photographer, I am always curious to dig deeper into the minds of the people I photograph. I found that by leaving my subjects to their own devices and watching them execute simple tasks with everyday objects would be fascinating to watch. It allowed me an insight into their personalities and glimpses of how their minds work by observing the little emotions that would appear.
It’s a voyeuristic approach which keeps the viewer drawn into watching these subtle traits of humans as they create and interact with the objects. By showing the videos side by side in an unsynchronised and random order it plays with the viewers’ perception, questioning time, progress and the traits that the subjects display. ” – Benjamin Werner
