Our man in Milan marvels at the range and quality of work on show at the design fair
On the fairgrounds on the first day of Salone del Mobile, the mood seemed to be very optimistic, and the volume of design products shown was just overwhelming. One of the things that I feel sets companies apart is not simply the designers they are able to bring together, but what they are able to get their designers to do – the creative direction they go in. On that note, I’m always amazed at how Magis, under the direction of the Perazzas, consistently gets their superstar designers to deliver their best work.
