Room

there was room

for the grand piano

 

and ten fingers

to roam the last

 

day of winter, we

 

sang like meaningless

forks and fries

 

there was room

for dancing, there

 

was room for jars

for dancing and

 

there was room

for lamplight, for

 

you and me
