The Korean brand put on a formal face for its Parisian Autumn Winter collection
As Paris menswear week wound down, with only one day to go, Wooyoungmi upped the stakes with a formal and elegant collection in predominately monochrome tones. Bits of shimmering gold prints added an extravagant touch, but it was the sombre yet sophisticated tailoring that defined the collection – that and the shorts worn over formal trousers. The graphic identity was inspired by art from iconic contemporary art galleries, like Tate and Guggenheim. Details have always been key for Wooyoungmi and the AW14 collection didn’t disappoint with playful lapels and oversized pinstripes.
