The French menswear designer on why Kim Fowley’s The Trip reminds him of 70s spaceships

“I really likes this track called The Trip by Kim Fowley (1965) who was one of the early pioneers of psychedelia in Los Angeles. He is best known for his novelty and cult rock pop singles in the 1960s, and has been described as “one of the most colourful characters in the annals of rock & roll.”

I took inspiration from this track for the whole surf-influenced SS13 collection of printed T-shirts and the skateboard we made. Actually, the limited edition Sandro skateboards are emblematic pieces that can be related to the Kim Fowley song. It reminds me of a spaceship in a 70s playground in Los Angeles.”
