We go backstage as Sarah Burton returns from Milan to show her menswear at London Collections: Men
As the first major brand to return to the UK having shown abroad for years, Sarah Burton’s Alexander McQueen brought a formal touch to London’s menswear week. Slim coats and pinstriped suits dominated at the St John Street venue. As often is the case with McQueen, the AW13 collection mixed traditional shapes with extravagant details such as a church glass-esque patterns and intricate fabric mish mashs on suit jackets and coats. Other stand out characteristics included a bright fire truck red, all over print looks and suit jackets worn over silk robes. Once again Burton presented a suave and elegant collection, cementing her status as one of Britain’s finest.
